PDI's Career Management Services Launches
Career Consultations
PDI's Career Management Services (CMS) has launched a new series of services, Career Consultations. Recognizing that career development doesn't just happen, Career Consultations helps individuals take charge of their careers in three ways: Career Coaching, Career & Life Assessment, and Career Management Programs.
Let's look at each service in more depth.
Individual Career Coaching pairs an individual with a PDI career expert to discuss job satisfaction issues, internal redeployment possibilities, concerns about job fit, and questions about career progression and planning.
Career Relocation Coaching uses PDI's customized approach to help couples create a new life in a new community. Companies use PDI career relocation experts to assist in attracting and landing high profile employees and their partners.
Companies who want a new approach to engage employees use PDI's in-depth Career Assessments and Planning. This works especially well for employees who are experiencing career challenges or life-changing events, for those who demonstrate high potential and want to evaluate career paths and options, or for those who have been overlooked for a promotion.
CareerPerspectives is a group program consisting of five modules that can be delivered consecutively or separately. Participants develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their options; develop goals and plans; learn how to leverage their resources; find ways to stay motivated, energetic, and visible; and commit themselves to long-term career management.
PDI also offers The ReFirement® Workbook as part of its career coaching and Career Perspectives programs when it fits the need. The ReFirement® Workbook is a positive, holistic, inspirational process for reframing and recharging your life. Individuals who use the ReFirement® Workbook rediscover their passions and what they really enjoy in life.

Outsourced Career Services
Many organizations find that maintaining a full-service career development area is difficult, time consuming, and requires specialized knowledge that they don't have and don't have the money to acquire. Recognizing this need, PDI's Career Management Services has developed a range of outsourced services, including On-site Career Center Management and Career Coaching, Career Research Resources and Technology, and Career Assessment and Feedback.
According to Pat Berg, General Manager of Career Management Services, clients appreciate having all the services under one roof. Instead of trying to cobble together a comprehensive program from many sources, organizations have a relationship with a single partner, attain measurable results, receive pricing advantages, and enjoy value-added services as a part of their agreement.

Congratulations to PDI's Mark Amon who was recently recognized by Lexmark for providing outstanding customer service and exceeding their expectations. Lexmark awarded Mark with one of their "Make It Happen" awardsan award that's typically given to internal Lexmark employees whose behavior exemplifies their vision and values.
Gary Millsap and Barry Touringy of Lexmark wrote the following in a letter to Mark that accompanied the award:
"Over the last 18 months, both Gary and I have marveled at your service excellence and your ability to exceed our expectations. You have in many ways unknowingly acted as an extension of our function and provided an unparalleled level of customer service that has made our jobs easier. It is for these reasons we would like to have you join a very elite Lexmark community of associates.
We have a vision: Customers for life. To earn our customer's loyalty we must listen to them, anticipate their needs, and act to create value in their eyes. "Make It Happen" awards are given to individuals whose behavior is a good example of Lexmark's vision and values.
It is an honor to extend our congratulations to you as a recipient of the Lexmark "Make It Happen" award. We both thank you not only for the fantastic job you do, but for making us shine every day."
